Krishna Chopra death: Man, 33, charged with January murder of Crows Nest woman
A 33-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Queensland woman Krishna Chopra at her Crows Nest home back in January.
Homicide detectives arrested and charged Pratten man Simon Jones in Warwick on Thursday night following a two-month investigation into the death of Ms Chopra, 61.
A friend found Ms Chopra dead in her Park Road home back in January.
Mr Jones’ matter was briefly mentioned in Toowoomba Magistrate’s Court on Friday and no application was made for bail.
The matter was adjourned to May 20.
Police last month set up a community hub in Toowoomba in a bid to gather information on Ms Chopra’s death and also released several photos of her vehicles and CCTV footage of her last movements.
Detectives continue to appeal to anyone who has not already come forward, who may have had an association with Ms Chopra or visited her house at 5 Park Road, Crows Nest to come forward.
Additionally, anyone who was in the Park Road area of Crows Nest on January 20, 21 and 22 this year are urged to contact police to discuss their observations and movements.
